Taylor Swift is scheduled to perform at Optus Stadium this Friday to a sell-out audience expected to more than double the 22,000 fans who turned out in droves to see the pop star during her 2013 Red Tour.

As Shwifty touches down in Perth and begins preparing for her shows over the weekend, we wondered to ourselves what she might like to drink if she happened to wonder into our shop?

To our disappointment, it seems this pop star's taste in booze is just as bland as her music…

According to a trove of online reports, it appears Taylor Swift likes what you might expect a trashy white girl to enjoy drinking...

We seriously tried to write a nice blog about Taylor and her drinking habits but we just didn't have it in us after what we've learned...

Taylor’s Drink of Choice

According to the net, (who should always be trusted mind you) she's a fanatic for sugary mixed drinks and some lousy wine, but her all-time favourite alcoholic beverage is a vodka Diet Coke.

Now if we're being honest, we suspect the fact Shwifty is the brand ambassador for Diet Coke might have something to do with that last answer but all the same, we can't morally condone recommending you to the same torture if you're planning on pregaming for one of her shows knowing what incredible delights lie waiting for you in this little Carlisle drive-thru bottle shop.

Our Alternative

Vodka is last year's news if you ask us...

These days and especially at this time of year, it's all about gin and the awesome botanicals on show.

Oh did we mention her show on Friday is also International Gin and Tonic Day?

Well, from our research, there seems to be two International Gin and Tonic days – one on April 9th and another on October 19th, but who’s complaining?

The choice seems pretty god damn obvious..

Pink gin is seriously trending now with its delicious berry infusions and unique botanical mixes not to mention that lush colouring.

While we know Alecia Moore (P!nk) isn't back in town, this beverage's attributes set it apart as the ultimate Spring cocktail companion and what we think a bit more of a classy Taylor Swift fan might get around.

“Inspired by an original Gordon’s recipe from the 1880s, Gordon’s Pink is perfectly crafted to balance the refreshing taste of Gordon’s with the natural sweetness of raspberries and strawberries, with the tang of redcurrant served up in a unique blushing tone. Made using only natural fruit flavours to guarantee the highest quality real berry taste.”

To be fair, Talyor is certainly trying very hard to lift her liquor cred in the lyrics of her newest album Reputation with nine of the album's fifteen tracks referencing booze in some shape or form...

Check out all the different hooch references from the album in this great piece by Billboard breaking it all down.

But since we're just kicking off Spring, why not try one of these delicious Gordon’s Pink Gin cocktail recipes for Spring instead? - Sourced from this great blog by Stylist.
