Leeuwin Estate 2016 Art Series Shiraz

It’s an interesting combination of predominantly shiraz plus 5% malbec and a 1% dollop of viognier. Aromas are quite beautiful with cherry scents and a touch of floral apricot pith. The energy and lift in the palate appears to have been the result of 20% whole bunch use. This is clearly one of the finest shiraz from Leeuwin displaying complexity at another level. A hint of cracked pepper and licorice add to the complexity. Outstanding.
