Glen - The Dark Beer Lord of Folk

Say G'day to Glen. He's been working with us for around 7 months now but he's no stranger to liquor stores or the industry.

Glen's spent years working with top liquor retailers and many seasons working in top local wineries and vineyards including Xanadu and Two Vines. We think Glen's a bit of a closet folk maestro on the violin but he's also loves getting lost in a great novel with a tall glass of dark beer by his side.

Glen's a craft kid through and through and like any, has his home and away favourites. On the local team, Glen loves a good Feral beer, especially Boris F-15 bourbon barrel aged, as the darkest, dankest flavoursome porters and stouts are what he really craves.

Outside of Aussie beer, Glen gets around the odd Fuller's from the UK and the Yank's Sierra Nevada that cover a wide scope of different flavours and styles. One for any occasion.

Colonial Brewing Co. Robust Porter

At the moment heading into our winter season, Glen is particularly fond of this dank new Colonial Brewing Co' Robust Porter.

CBCO. says they're brewed with only the richest roast malts, cocoa and rolled oats in their deepest darkest porter yet, brimming with chocolate and coffee notes. They've chucked in some homegrown Aussie Ella hops giving it a gentle tropical bite and spicy aroma. Glen froths this beer because its big and bold enough but won't over power at 6% ABV.

If you feel like sinking something a bit darker this winter, come find Glen and ask what he's drinking this week if you want to find that winter winner.
